The Collin Cares Glow Run returns for its 11th year

The Collin Cares Glow Run will return this weekend for its 11th year, continuing the mission started by Collin Kiousis to support families affected by cancer.
The annual event will include a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile run/walk at A.I. Root Middle School. The course will take participants through the surrounding neighborhood and feature glow-in-the-dark decorations, music and lights.
Kiousis, a Medina High School graduate, started Collin Cares Cure Cancer after being diagnosed with cancer during his senior year. While battling the disease, Kiousis wanted to create an organization that could provide financial support to other families facing similar challenges. He went on to college, and during his sophomore year at the University of Akron, Kiousis died.
